Stefan Graefe

CSO Consulting Team is led by Stefan G. Graefe, a senior fundraising and strategy consultant with more than four decades of experience in international fundraising, organisational development and stakeholder communication.

We work with Civil Society Organisations that need practical, credible and sustainable approaches to resource mobilisation, major-gift fundraising, legacy giving, campaign development and strategic communication.

Our approach is direct, collaborative and implementation-oriented. We help organisations translate strategic ambitions into clear priorities, compelling cases for support and communication that resonates with donors, boards, partners and the people they serve.

For larger or more specialised assignments, we assemble a tailored consulting team from a trusted network of senior professionals. This allows us to combine deep sector experience with the right expertise for each specific challenge.

Over the past four decades, we have worked closely with international civil society organisations, fundraising offices, boards and philanthropic partners.

A significant part of our work has been dedicated to Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH), an international organisation supporting children, young people and families through family-based care and community-strengthening approaches in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Stefan Graefe has supported NPH across multiple countries and regions, including fundraising strategy, European donor engagement, organisational development, campaign work and project-related advisory. This long-standing involvement provides a deep understanding of the realities facing international CSOs: complex stakeholder structures, evolving funding environments, local implementation challenges and the need to communicate mission and impact credibly across cultures.
